MISPA Partnership

About MISPA

MISPA, a “religious, philanthropic, and social organization … with no profit-making purposes,” was founded as a charitable mission on October 18, 1975 as an arm of the Presbyterian Church in Brazil. Accordingly, MISPA has the authority within the Presbyterian Church to govern camps and workers who are outside the area of jurisdiction of regular IPRB presbyteries.

This status grants MISPA the authority to plant Christian churches in Brazil and throughout the world, which complements and advances the charitable purposes of the Organization, namely to support Christian leaders, expand the reach of Christianity, and establish Christian churches in the United States and in the developing countries of the world. In addition, MISPA has the authority to organize missions and social projects in developing communities in Brazil in the name of the Presbyterian Church.
